Rod Blagojevich is an American politician who served as the 40th Governor of Illinois. He was arrested for corruption charges which includes mail fraud and solicitation to bribery. According to the Justice Department, Blagojevich conspired to many schemes
of pay to play. Pay to play schemes is where if one wants to get a position or wants to be in "the game", it'll cost him for he needs to pay a huge sum of money to be in it. He was said to be "selling"an empty seat in the US Senate, which was vacated by Barack Obama. Blagojevich was only convicted of one count of lying to the FBI after two weeks of deliberation. After so, he will then be sentenced to be imprisoned.
